Suffolk Cross Country at RHS

On Thursday 17th October 2024, three Year 6 pupils - Charlotte, Oliver and Rocky went to Royal Hospital School for the Suffolk Cross Country Championships. All three had qualified in the top ten of all Year 6 runners at the recent GVTSSP Cross Country competitions earlier this term. 

This is a huge event with many runners attending from Year 6 up to Year 13, both from state and private schools. The first 50 from each race at RHS were invited to the next event at Woodbridge School.

The girls race, involving Year 6 and 7 pupils, was over a distance of 2,200m. Charlotte was in a race with over 220 runners and came an amazing 59th position. Well done Charlotte!

The boys race, involving Year 6 and 7 pupils, was over a distance of 3,040m. Oliver and Rocky were in a race with over 200 runners and came the following positions - Oliver came 112th and Rocky came 107th in a very strong field of runners. Well done Oliver and Rocky!
