Closure Procedures
If we need to close the school, then every effort will be made to notify you as soon as possible. You can find out about a closure by Arbor, checking the school website, listening to BBC Suffolk Radio or by looking at the following school closure web page:
Deciding to shut a school is never an easy decision with a number of factors that have to be considered. Primarily, it is the safety of pupils travelling to and from school and that of staff who are often travelling from further afield. It is also a problem for you and us if we open but conditions deteriorate and we need to close mid day.
- Please be vigilant for announcements and understand that we can only make decisions based on the information that we have at the time.
- If we do shut then please always assume we will be open the following day unless you hear otherwise.
- If we shut first thing in the morning and conditions improve, we are unable to co-ordinate a mid day re-opening.
- If we are open, it is a good idea for your child to come in wellies and carry a pair of shoes so that they have dry, warm footwear to change into in school.
